Ravens and Brown-banded Carder Bee - Day 36

Another beautiful day, that found me to extremely busy with food shopping and school work. Never mind, The local Raven pair chose to soar lazily over the garden for long periods of time today. The local gulls and lesser corvids were far from happy, but the Ravens appeared not care a bit. It felt like a statement of ownership.

On the golf course a Song Thrush has been dominating the soundscape for over a week.

Back at home I was delighted to photograph, and identify, a Brown-banded Carder Bee (Bombus humilis) for the first time.
