Turtle Dove

I spent days at at Whitsun half-term looking for a Turtle Dove in West Sussex. Eventually I was lucky enough to find one back in East Sussex near my Eastbourne home. What a stunning bird.

In the last two photos the Turtle Dove has its chest and neck puffed up while it makes the idiosyncratic purring call. Wonder if I will see one next year?
