Slavonian Grebe at Prince's Park

Lovely close views of this bird, as it moved up from the lake into the Crumbles freshwater sewer. It was busy fishing, and caught food regularly while I watched.

Despite the marvellous red eye, this bird is in its winter eclipse plumage. My 242nd species of 2017 and my 211th in the UK.
