Bough Beech and Manor House Gardens

Visited Bough Beech reservoir in my way to London. The water level was incredibly low.
Male Tufted Duck looking fantastic in breeding plumage.

Teal.

Distant male and female Mandarin. An introduced species, now more common in the UK than in its native China. There is still a good population in Japan.

There was also a Goosander out on the open water. Drove into London in sleet and later snow. Managed a quick walk in Manor Gardens at Lee, where a blizzard of Black-headed Gulls were catching food in the air.

Several Ring-necked Parakeets were also in the park.

A Teal at Bough Beech in heavy sleet.
