An exceptionally gloomy morning, even for December, at Arlington Reservoir. Nevertheless, I saw Great Spotted and Green Woodpecker, Grey Wagtail, Coal Tits, a pair of Fieldfares and about twenty Redwings. Quite surprisingly, Great Tits were in full song. I presume they have interpreted the milder weather as a herald of Spring.
I was lucky to get some relatively close views of the Great Northern Diver. Mist started to form against the eastern side of the reservoir, beneath the woodland, making viewing even more difficult.
A pair of Mute Swans.
Black-headed Gulls
Great Crested Grebes.
