Cuckmere

Some recent photos from the Cuckmere Haven.
A particularly still morning meant the water in the meanders was absolutely still.

A marvelous Northern Wheatear down at the mouth of the estuary,

The meadows down by the scrape are the best place I know of to see Skylarks.

 Meadow Pipit.

White Wagtail. A pair were gathering nesting material by Exceat Bridge.

 Green Finch.

A dried up pool. I cannot remember a drier April.

Common Sandpiper on the river bank.
