Sovereign Harbour

At the western side of Sovereign Harbour I quickly spotted the Black Redstart, that has been there for several weeks. Happily there was a low tide, and feeding on the exposed mud were Oystercatcher, Dunlin, Ringed Plover and Turnstone. There were several Cormorants feeding in the open water.

Driving back across Cross Levels Way I saw a Sparrowhawk and a Green Woodpecker feeding on the verge. I used to see one regularly here, but have not for over a year. I presume it is a new individual that has filled the niche.
