Summer Hoilday Day 33: Silver-spotted Skipper, High and Over

On a windy, cool and overcast day this Silver-spotted Skipper was uncharacteristically sedate. The chalk grassland has been heavily gazed, and flowers were pretty sparse. Weirdly, this sight is north facing too.

A slow Buff-tailed Bumblebee, also struggling in the cool conditions. Happily it soon found sustenance.
