Rye Harbour

A rare windless day, with even rarer sunshine, made for a great visit to Rye Harbour.

Linnet, a male looking good in breeding plumage.

My first Sedge Warbler of the year.

One of two Black-winged Stilts. Hope they stay to breed.

Oystercatcher

A lone male Red-breasted Merganser displaying to some bemused Mallards. It quickly gave up and went for a sleep.

Cormorant, Oystercatcher and a flying Black-headed Gull.

A pair of Mediterranean Gulls with a few Black-headed Gulls.

Part of the busy Sandwich Tern colony, which comprises of an estimated 300 pairs.
