Down Level

Down Level near Hailsham, is part of the Pevensey Levels National Character Area. It is a beautiful place that somehow seems to be a long way from anywhere, despite being found in the busy southeast of England.

A sky full of April showers.

The first lambs I have seen this Spring.

A splendid, though distant, male Wheatear. I also saw Pintail. Both species pass through the levels at this time of year.
