This ancient Ash Tree had a circumferance of 6.5 metres, making it about 450 to 500 years old considering it is growing in the open and not in a wood. Sadly, the surrounding countryside was full of very large Ash Trees that had succumbed to Ash Dieback and had been felled. At the moment, this individual looks to be healthy.
