Selmeston Snowdrops

Visiting the fantastic Snowdrops near Selmeston church has become an annual tradition for me. They were fantastic today in bright sunshine.

Other Spring flowers were also out.

 Greater Celandine

Male flowers of Winter Heliotrope, Petasites fragrans, an introduced species from the central Mediterranean.

 Violet

Later in the day I visited Crowlink, walking down to the cliffs.

There were two Curlew feeding on the exposed tidal platform, and also a couple of Fulmar.

 Belle Tout and Birling Gap.

On the cliff top were a pair of Ravens. One had collected sheep's wool, presumably as nesting material. The other kept making territorial calls.

A light rain shower.
