Woods Mill

A brief visit to Woods Mill, before the rain started, yielded not a single dragonfly, my main reason for visiting. However, there was still some interesting insect life about.

Tawny Longhorn Beetle, Paracorymbia fulva.

Common Red Soldier Beetle, Rhagonycha fulva. Apparently also known as the Hogweed Bonking Beetle.

Hornet Mimic Hoverfly, Volucella zonaria.

Beautiful Demoiselle.

Little Grebe.
