West Rise Marsh

A warm, overcast morning down at West Rise Marsh.

Great Crested Grebe, one of a pair on the main lake.

Splendid male Stonechat. There were plenty of juvenile Stonechats around.

Female and juvenile Reed Bunting.

Poor photo of one of two juvenile Bearded Tits. I also saw a female.

Impressive numbers of House Sparrows. This species favour the north-east side of the main lake.

Teasel, Dissects fullonum.

The marsh, looking south-west.

Sedge Warbler.

Reed Warbler.
