A late afternoon walk down through Crowlink. A juvenile Green Woodpecker flew over with characteristic undulating flight and clacking of wings.
Down at the cliffs the tide was well out revealing a large platform. Curlew, Cormorant and large numbers of gulls were about. Out past the rocks was a raft of about 110 Wigeon on an almost flat sea.
Along the cliff edge were about a dozen Rock Pipits darting after insects, often disappearing over the edge.
The cloudy sky meant the light faded quickly.
