Wakehurst Place and Loder Valley

The Loder Valley is accessible from the Wakehurst Place gardens. Kingfishers were heard, but not seen.

These Great Crested Grebes were still nesting on 9th August.

Cormorant on the Tern raft. No sign of nesting Terns, but a passing Buzard was aggressively mobbed by a Common Tern.

Some bold Jackdaws gave me a chance to appreciate their marvellous pale blue eyes.
