Curlew Sandpiper

Low tide at Rye Harbour, with a huge area of exposed sand covered in waders. A particularly mobile group of greyish birds caught my attention, but they were determined to keep their distance. I was delighted to realise that it was a group of at least 18 Curlew Sandpiper.
