We get very few Starlings during the summer, which suggests to me that the groups that live locally in the winter are migrants from the continent. They have certainly benefited recently from the very mild conditions, that prompted Great Tits, Coal Tits and a Song Thrush to start singing.

Fulmar at Newhaven

The Fulmar have been back on the cliffs at Newhaven since the beginning of December. Once the rain cleared they became quite active and repeatedly flew short distances before landing again, with pairs calling to each other.
